Retaining Walls

Retaining WallsRetaining walls help maintain the shape of your landscape and your gardens. They are an essential element of the entire structure of your backyard. They essentially keep the soil (which can get heavy and soggy) in place. Without them, it wouldn’t take long for your backyard to spill-over to the driveway or walkways. Retaining wall construction involves a lot of skill and experience since we need to ensure they would last for a long time.

Georgia Outdoor Services has been constructing retaining walls for well over a decade now. We have worked on projects in Suwannee and the nearby areas of Atlanta, Lawrenceville, Buford, Cumming and Johns Creak. Working on building these walls has given us the experience to become one of the best in the industry.

Because of our years of excellent work, we’ve gained a large client base in Alpharetta, Grayson, Hoschton, Braselton, Dacula, Sugar Hill, Duluth, Norcross, Roswell and Decatur as well. As a family-owned company, we like to develop long term relationships with our clients and ensure our work is always up to the mark.

We Build Resilient Retaining Walls

When it comes to building a retaining wall we know that quality and good material matters above all else. We offer a variety of options in construction materials and help our clients pick the one that would best fit their design and budget.

  • Block Retaining Walls: Concrete block retaining walls are one of the most commonly used features in a landscape. They’re popular because they’re easy to work with and can be very affordable. Moreover, they are generally very resilient as well. However, concrete blocks do require some level of embellishment and if the block develops a small crack, the entire block must be replaced.

  • Rock or Stone Walls: Stone walls have been in use for ages and remain popular to date. They are very sturdy and also very appealing, fitting in with any design idea. Carefully constructed stone walls can last several years. In fact, some are known to last many decades. There is, however, the expense. Installing a stone wall is a labor intensive process and the material can be expensive; however the feature turns out to be cost-effective in the long term

  • Brick: Walls made of brick are very popular among homeowners. Visually, bricks add a stunning beauty to your home. They are also resilient, known to last for several years. Brick retaining wall design can blend in very well with the overall look of the home and can be very customizable. Installing this material can also be a labor intensive process and while they are less expensive in comparison to stone, they can be heavy on the wallet.

There are other options available in the market like Gabion walls and timber walls but they aren’t as popular or as resilient. Most homeowners would pick one of the three mentioned above after taking their home styling and their budget into consideration.
